"The hotel we booked this time is a century-old building near Harbin Station, making it very convenient for commuting by subway. This two-story building, once the hotel of the Middle East Railway Bureau, may seem unassuming from the outside, but it's truly remarkable. The interior features classic Russian architecture, with antique revolving doors and a spacious staircase, solid wood wall panels in the hallways and rooms, a high vaulted ceiling in the restaurant, and an old fireplace in the lobby—everything reflects its former glory. I absolutely loved it!
The service was warm and attentive, the room was well-equipped, and the breakfast was a set meal. It was clean, simple, and adequate, and it was a great value for money."

"My room has an amazing view of the river which is especially beautiful at night.
The staff is really helpful and friendly. Everyone from the front desk, the door men, the executive lounge staff and the housekeeping staff were very pleasant. I appreciate Fo Xiu who went up to my room to understand my concerns because of the language barrier.
My only complaint was that I ordered room service. I ordered steak and soup but there was no dinner plate included. It was difficult to cut the steak in the tiny sizzling plate it was served on. I appreciate the male staff who brought my order to my room.
That said, everything else was fantastic. My wishlist is to have a full length mirror inside the room.
When I visit the Harbin again, I will stay here."

"Although we stayed in a basement room this time, the Smart Choice King Room we booked was surprisingly well-lit and very spacious. It was impeccably clean every day, completely odor-free, and the bathroom had excellent water pressure. The two ladies at the front desk were incredibly friendly and welcoming, contributing to a truly great travel experience.
The hotel is conveniently located near Shangzhi Metro Station, less than a 5-minute walk away. It's also within easy walking distance of major attractions like Central Street, Saint Sophia Cathedral, and Daoli Market. For dining convenience, there's a convenience store and a noodle shop right outside the entrance.
Harbin in August boasts clear blue skies, with comfortably cool and refreshing weather, making it perfect for sightseeing."

"For our first trip to Harbin, we chose this Wanda Hotel based on reviews and recommendations found on Ctrip.
The hotel boasts an excellent location, and the service was truly outstanding. Staff proactively assisted us with our luggage and other needs, and we were even given a complimentary upgrade to a family room. The breakfast spread was absolutely lavish.
Our room was clean, comfortable, bright, and spotless. We were offered complimentary afternoon tea, which we sadly didn't have time to enjoy.
Our child loves playing the piano, and the hotel made an exception by allowing them to use the grand piano in the lobby. Our child was absolutely thrilled and played a few of their favorite tunes.
Overall, our stay was incredibly comfortable. We will definitely choose this hotel again on our next visit to Harbin and will wholeheartedly recommend it to our friends!

I used the free shuttle and it was seamless - so well organised !

"On my first visit to Harbin, this hotel, which I discovered by chance, was an absolute delight. It boasts an incredibly convenient location for tourists, offers nearly all-day afternoon tea, and a meticulously prepared breakfast featuring both à la carte and buffet options. The service truly rivals that of luxury brands like Four Seasons and Banyan Tree. What particularly stood out was the thoughtful gesture of neatly tying up phone cables after room cleaning – a small detail I had only ever seen before at the Regent Chongqing. We booked a garden room with a private courtyard, and the small patio at the entrance was absolutely charming. The public courtyard is also ideal for outdoor tea and relaxation. Furthermore, the customer service manager and all staff were incredibly warm and welcoming. They were extremely knowledgeable about Harbin's dining scene and were able to recommend the most unique and authentic restaurants to guests. They even thoughtfully prepared a small farewell gift upon our departure. This is truly a fantastic hotel, worth revisiting two or even three times! I've already recommended it to many friends."

"Excellent location specially when plan to visit Yabuli because near Harbin West station. Level B2 of elevator is connected to the front mall. Also have bigger mall across the street, both mall have supermarket and restaurant. House keeping was so kind and have free laundry. We ask help to get a taxi to airport but they said we could just get it outside, in the freezing cold outside. It just sad because in Beijing and Shanghai they call taxi for us."

"The location is absolutely superb, right on Central Street, making it perfect for an evening stroll every day. It's also very close to the subway station and super easy to find. There are tons of great food options nearby, and the hotel's breakfast is pretty good too, so you'll never run out of dining choices. We booked a family room this time, and for such a prime and valuable location, the room was surprisingly spacious. The interior facilities are brand new, featuring smart home amenities, which made for a fantastic stay. A special shout-out goes to the front desk team – the young ladies and gentlemen. "The staff were quite welcoming, and breakfast was complimentary. The location is convenient. I even received a small gift upon checking out.
However, I wouldn't have moved to this hotel if my previous one hadn't been fully booked due to a conference. It's a third more expensive than my last stay, and apart from being marginally closer to attractions, my experience here was genuinely disappointing.
While the room didn't face the street, it was directly opposite the staff workroom and a utility closet, leading to constant, disruptive noise from doors opening and closing. Additionally, several cleaning carts were left parked in the hallway right outside our door for extended periods.
The shower constantly made an odd, creaking noise – definitely not ideal for light sleepers or those easily bothered by sounds. The internet speed was painstakingly slow, and even mobile 4G/5G signals were weak.
Breakfast was utter chaos, and the pervasive smell of cooking oil was so strong that my hair and clothes reeked of it after just one meal.
The gym and laundry facilities are nowhere near the standard of a Hilton Garden Inn. However, I must admit, the washer and dryer themselves were quite effective."

NNikitnI booked another Four Seasons Hotel in Huizhi not long ago, and this one is much better. It is clean, bright, the service is more considerate, and the price is more cost-effective. It is not far from the Harbin-Xi'an high-speed railway, which is suitable for southerners.

AAnonymous UserI brought my 8-year-old child to Harbin for a few days. To ensure comfortable sleep, I specifically chose a twin room, which would allow my child to sleep separately (with beds at least 1.35 meters wide). After much careful consideration, I selected Liyi Hotel. Its location is indeed excellent; Central Street is just a short walk to the right from the entrance, making shopping very convenient. Complimentary bottled water is available for unlimited taking right by the check-in desk. Evening congee service starts at 8 PM, offering congee, side dishes, red sausage, and watermelon, which is a nice addition to the evening meal options.
Now for the downsides. We opted for a family twin room. Within two minutes of entering, I found a bug by the bed – it resembled a cockroach but moved slower. I quickly squashed it. While crouching down, I also noticed some fine hairs, which immediately disgusted me. When making the bed for my child, I discovered brownish-red, unwashed bloodstains on both the duvet cover and the bedsheet. 😱 Pulling back the curtains, there was not only no view but it also felt like a derelict construction site. The absolute worst part was that construction started just after 5 AM, with incessant banging and drilling noises. The entire family was up by 6 AM. We went to the front desk to request a room change, only to be told that their repeated calls to the police had been ineffective, and that guests should call the police themselves... Absolutely outrageous! The breakfast selection was average, with largely the same items every day. The lack of fruit was a definite minus; this is quite unacceptable, especially considering our room rate was nearly 900, possibly even 1000 RMB for two nights. At least they offered freshly brewed coffee, which was a small consolation.
The above reflects the actual situation; I'm merely providing a heads-up for future guests.

MMatthew CliveHarbin Anshu Family Hotel has only 7 rooms and a family who look after the rooms and guests. Their services are just outstanding. I had a serious problem when i arrived as i had not had time in Beijing, where i was in transit from UK to Harbin, to get a phone SIM Card. Anshu Family Hotel took me to the China Mobile shop in Harbin and stayed with me until i got my card. They flatly refused payment for helping me even though it cost them a lot of time so i got them some grapes as a very small gift to say thankyou for helping me so kindly.
The process took nearly two hours due to a complication on my UK phone number settings. However the staff at China Mobile were really good, the Anshu Family were just incredibly patient. They simply would not leave until i was fixed up and able to use my phone. I stayed for just under a week to go to see the major attractions in Harbin, a City with a totally unique identity in China due to its Russian and European Architecture. It is one of the most fascinating cities i have ever visited, Harbin Museum being quite astonishing in its variety and quality of Artifacts. It was the 16th Museum or Museum type building i have visited in China and one of the most enjoyable. This year was Harbins 26th Ice Show, with the Winter Games coming up soon.
The Anshu Family Hotel is spot on location for both events, just a $3 taxi ride or Metro for just cents. The hotel has lots of shops, supermarkets, several food roads bristling with many many choices of meal. The Anshu Family make a very low charge for their rooms, in my opinion it could be far higher but they stick at their price.
I had not asked for breakfast as i go out early to get to see as much as possible during my day sightseeing.
The night before i left i asked them if they would get me a taxi for the morning to get my train. I was to get the taxi at 6.45am. At 5.50 a knock on the door and they came to give me three boiled eggs and a meat stew with noodles. Honestly no Hotel has treated me so kindly. I really recommend grabbing a room with Anshu most especially if you are going to the Ice Show or Winter games.
It is a budget Hotel, so be aware of that, but I got a spotless sheet, cover duvet and i was as warm as toast room at night. The water shower is piping hot. Opposite the Hotel road is a huge Govt building as a landmark, i never had any problem finding it. There is a Bank of China two hundred metres from Anshu Family Hotel.
Anshu, in my opinion must be one of the top deals on offer from Trip.com.

Xxiaofeng！Let me tell you about my three-day experience there. I originally booked a 2-day stay, but my children liked the aunt and sister Nan Nan very much, so we stayed one more night. This is a very, very humane B&B. It feels like coming home when we get off the bus. They greeted us warmly at the door and took our luggage to the room. Then we went downstairs to eat. The dishes cooked by the chef are so delicious. I highly recommend their twice-cooked pork. My children want to eat it for every meal. At night, my children saw the barbecue outside and wanted to eat it, so we went out to eat barbecue. It was very expensive. I really don't recommend going to Snow Valley for barbecue. It's too expensive. A small string of beef and lamb skewers is 6 yuan a string, and a string of three slices of I don't know what kind of meat it is costs 10 yuan, and they don't even give me paper towels. After that meal, I never dared to eat out again. Nan Nan's food is still delicious and affordable. Many guests who live in other B&Bs come to Nan Nan's for dinner. We guests here are like a family. At night, everyone sits on the kang in the hall and chats. It's quite interesting! Their house is very clean, so you can rest assured. The beautiful woman wearing a hat is Nan Nan! When we went out to Wusongling, the aunt also enthusiastically helped each of us to wear snow caps (free of charge)! It is best to bring a bath towel to their house, because they use disposable towels, and bath towels are better for children. We were lucky to place an order to stay at Nan Nan's house, so that our family had a happy and enjoyable trip to the Snow Valley! In the last video, our big family was sticking sugar candied haws, it was super lively and happy, just like the Chinese New Year!

OOtautahianWe chose this hotel because there is a TCM place literally on the opposite side of the block and my sister could get acupuncture there.
All the staff were friendly, the hotel was modern and bright, and it was easy to get taxis outside.
My sister especially enjoyed the breakfast bigger because there was a lot of dongbei food and the hot dishes changed every day. While we were there (Spring Festival) there were free snacks at reception, like hulutang, frozen pears, egg tarts.

GGuest UserThe room was air-conditioned and fully stocked with disposable toiletries. It was exceptionally clean. It's about a 10-minute walk from Central Street, and there are plenty of places to eat nearby. The front desk staff was excellent. I'll definitely stay at this hotel next time I visit.

GGuest UserLocated conveniently and walking distance to the famous Zhong Yang Da Jie.
Check in is easy and thus hardly interacted with the staff whom seems to be unfriendly.
Room wise is spacious and quite comfy. But some lights are not working. Im concern about cleanliness as the teaspoon wasn’t washed the next day though cup was washed. Coffee was not replaced. Bedsheet still feels untidy.
Location is good and room spacious so it’s ok.
Room it’s hot and thus we need to keep windows open to cool it down.

EEe MingWe had a very good experience staying in Yabu Loni Hotel at Yabuli. We were pleasantly surprised by the warm reception we receive from our hotel guide 初长月. She assisted us to check into our hotel room early which allow us to settle in quickly. Arranging for ski lessons and equipment was also a breeze with her help. Her enthusiasm, energy and smile is something that makes our stay so much fun and enjoyable. And she is always just a call away.
As for the hotel room, it is a little dated but nevertheless still very clean and nice. I would certainly hope that they can improve on the breakfast, the range is pretty limited.
The location of the hotel is fantastic and it is just right besides the cable car that bring you to the top of the ski resort. It is also right next to Club Med.

HHaiqal NohXin Yuhang, the employee that works in Sun Castle Resort Hotel is really nice, helpful and friendly, helps us with the difficulties we had throughout our stay there. Because of our language barriers , he was patience to translate it to us and despite the crowd that kept coming in and making him busy, he handle one by one with class, professionalism, and each person's help. My girlfriend and I enjoyed our stay in this hotel and holiday in Harbin. Thank you so much for making our stay a great one. We'll rate this 10/10

IIBRAHIM إِبۡرَاهِيمَ 依布拉欣If you're planning to visit the Harbin Ice and Snow World, remember to purchase spikes at the counter (8 YUAN). It's affordable and can prevent falls and injuries. Unfortunately, I slipped on the ice and badly hurt my ankle. Luckily, there's a nearby hospital, Harbin Shengfeng Hospital, just a 10-15 minute walk away (you can use Google Maps). The doctors there are helpful, but they don't speak English, so bring your passport and use Google Translate if needed.
On a brighter note, I really enjoyed staying at this hostel. They have a large mirror and a hot water station where you can prepare instant noodles. Although they don't have a kitchen, you can easily get utensils and a mug from nearby convenience stores, especially if you're planning to make coffee.
One thing I found really convenient was the international charger ports provided for each bed. Before checking out, remember to strip your bed and leave a note in the lobby to indicate your presence. I left a Malaysian flag as my mark.
